Class Descriptions
Ashtanga (short-form)

This class is based on a set series of poses that allows you to focus and improve on all aspects of your yoga practice; Breath, alignment, focal points, etc. As you move through the series, it will help to create a strong body and focused mind. This class is recommended for intermediate to advanced levels.

Basic

This class is geared for beginners. It is recommended for those new to yoga or who wish to learn the fundamentals in a gentler class setting. Students will learn the basic poses, alignment and breathing techniques that are important to the practice of yoga. It will help strengthen your body and build on your balance and flexibility.

Beyond Basic

This yoga class will help you learn more advanced poses beyond the basic poses, breathing techniques, and transitions between poses. Beyond basic is an intermediate class that will incorporate slow flow vinyasa, while keeping ongoing instruction on the fundamental poses, breath and philosophy. Working to develop poses to take your yoga journey deeper, it’s the perfect balance between a basic and a vinyasa class.

Gentle

This class brings the practice of yoga to those who are beginners, limited in mobility or just want a slower paced practice. This gentle practice allows you to perform yoga postures using various props such as blocks, bolsters and blankets, while learning the basic poses, alignment and breath.

Gentle with Meditation

Enjoy gentle movements for the body with meditation for the mind threaded throughout this reflective class. The body and the breath work together to create warmth and openings in the physical body, allowing the mind to quiet and receive insights related to that days’ meditation topic. When the body and the mind unite with the breath (Yoga) the soul sings. This class is suitable for all levels of practioners.

Healthy Back

This yoga class will help the student learn ways to bring more strength and flexibility throughout the length of your spine. It will help build core strength to support the lower back and release stress and tension from the mid and upper back. This is a slower paced class so you are able to find stability in the core needed to create and support a healthy back. This class is recommended for all levels.

Healthy Core & Floor

This class will bring awareness to the core and pelvic floor. You will learn to engage core muscles with the breath for safer movements. Build strength gently, but effectively through this practice. A healthy core is the foundation of a healthy body.

Mandala Flow

A subtype of Vinyasa Yoga, Mandala Flow draws inspiration from the circular shape of a Mandala. It does that in quite a literal sense, as it involves moving around the mat in a circular pattern, rather than only practicing front to back. The flowing sequence is repeated to invite a meditative mindset inward, while strengthening the body and breath through movement. This class is suitable for the intermediate to advanced practitioner.

Mixed Levels

Somedays we need a little more or a little less. This class offers you options to slide into your practice right where you're at whether you’re a beginner, an intermediate or an advanced student. A general knowledge of the most common poses is recommended. Beginners can begin to work on honing their newbie skills and investigate more movement. Intermediate students are encouraged to keep moving and take the opportunity to explore more challenging versions of common asana poses and vinyasas at their own pace. Advanced students are welcome to modify the class flow up or down to align with their personal energy levels in the moment. All levels will focus on alignment and breath to round out the practice.

Strike a Pose

In "Strike a Pose," you'll delve into a variety of yoga poses, from Warrior 2 to Crow, with guidance tailored to your personal level. This inclusive class focuses on helping you overcome challenging poses and refine those you aspire to master, all within a supportive and enjoyable atmosphere. Join us to explore and elevate your practice, whether you're a beginner or an experienced yogi.

Restore & More

Restorative yoga uses props to support the body to help with relaxation as you hold comfortable poses for longer periods of time. It provides a soothing experience to help release stress and tension, let go and restore your energy. This class will combine restorative with meditation and a little movement to provide an ultimate mindful and restful practice.

Vinyasa

This is a flow class focusing on synchronizing your breath with the movement through the sequence. It will help build strength, balance and flexibility through the flow of poses as you create heat in your body and focus your mind. This class is recommended for intermediate to advance levels.

Warm Vinyasa

This is a flow class focusing on synchronizing your breath with the movement through the sequence. It will help build strength, balance and flexibility through the flow of poses as you create heat in your body and focus your mind. The classroom will be heated to 80-85 degrees to help loosen your muscles and tendons, and release toxins in the body. You will need to hydrate properly before and after class. This class is recommended for intermediate to advanced levels.

Yin

Suitable for most levels of students, Yin’s emphasis is targeting and strengthening the joints, ligaments, and connective tissues, utilizing longer holds on a cooler body. The practice of Yin may be seen as passive or soft yet can be quite challenging due to the longer duration of the poses; anywhere from 3-5+ minutes each. This creates the perfect scenario for slowing down and going inward towards a more meditative state. Yin is the perfect opposite to the dynamic and muscular Yang styles of yoga. Like two sides of one coin, Yin cannot exist without Yang; Yang cannot exist without Yin. They complement each other and are equally important for a well-rounded Yoga practice. No prior yoga experience is needed to practice Yin.

YINyasa

This class will bring the best of both worlds together. It will start as a yin practice, holding poses for a longer period of time to help provide strength and flexibility to the connective tissues and joints of the body, and then transform into a vinyasa flow to help build strength, balance and flexibility through the flow of poses. This class is recommended for intermediate to advanced levels.

Studio Etiquette
  • Pre-registration is recommended for all classes. You may do so online, through the MindBody app, or by contacting the studio.
  • Please arrive on time. If you are new to the studio, arrive about 10-15 minutes early to allow time to fill out our waiver (or do so online if emailed to you)and get acquainted with our studio. Classes begin promptly at the scheduled time, so please respect others by being in the studio ready to practice by the start of the class.
  • You must check in at the front desk prior to entering the practice room.
  • Please be respectful outside the practice room as well as inside. A massage or class may be in session, so please refrain from loud conversation.
  • If you have any injuries, health problems or may be pregnant, please notify the instructor so we may assist in adjusting any poses for you as needed.
  • It is best to practice on an empty stomach. Try not to eat a meal at least two hours before class. Digestion will eat up your energy and may restrict you in your practice. Please remember to drink plenty of water not only after class to rehydrate, but throughout the day.
  • There are no shoes allowed in the practice room. Bare feet are preferred to help keep you grounded and help your feet stick to your mat in practice. However, if you feel more comfortable in socks, they are allowed.
  • Please refrain from wearing any fragrances, perfumes or other scented products, as they may cause allergies or discomfort to other students. This includes being mindful if you are a smoker.
  • No cell phones are allowed in the practice room. If you bring your phone with you, it must be left with your belongings in the lobby and turned off or on silent to prevent any disruption to students.
  • Wear comfortable clothing that is stretchable and allows you to move freely.
  • If you do not have a yoga mat or props, you are welcome to use studio provided equipment.
  • No Egos. Everyone's body and practice is different. Listen to your body, take breaks and rest when needed. There is no need to compare yourself to others or push yourself over the limit and cause injury. Instructors are always available for assistance or adjustments. Let go and have fun!
